Ideal Gas Mixture
Reactants and products are treated as mixtures of ideal gases. When a liquid or solid component is present (liquid octane or solid carbon, for instance), it is assumed to occupy zero volume (having zero partial pressure).
Perfect Gas Mixture
Reactants and products are treated as mixtures of perfect gases. Assumption of constant specific heats results in exaggerated prediction of adiabatic flame temperature.
